Individual Therapy for Adults (18+)
There are many things that bring individuals to therapy, and there is no one-size-fits-all therapy model. While I do specialize in certain therapeutic models, my approach is to get to know each client, understand their goals, and then create a treatment plan that fits them. This generally includes doing a values assessment early on so we can create a plan that aligns with your values. If you want to dig deep into your emotions, I’m your therapist! I also offer a faith informed approach upon request.
Couple’s Therapy
Spoiler Alert: Developing healthy relationships takes work! There is no way around it. However, when each individual brings old baggage, unresolved issues or unhealthy communication patterns into the relationship, it multiplies the workload. Whether you’re in a brand new relationship and want to start off strong, are in a relationship that is fractured and needs repair, or your relationship feels fatigued and you want to revive it, couples therapy can help. You can have a healthy, vibrant relationship with the right tools! I also do premarital counseling and offer a discounted rate for this service.
In-person and Telehealth
I offer in-person therapy for both individuals and couples on Wednesdays in my San Clemente office. I require couples to start in-person and potentially move to telehealth sessions, if they desire and everyone agrees this format will be beneficial. I offer telehealth on Tuesdays and Thursdays for individual therapy and use a HIPPA compliant platform called Simple Practice. To schedule a session, you can call, email, or access my appointment calendar through the Client Portal.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
— Carl Rogers
What to Expect in Therapy
If you choose to meet with me for therapy, whether in-person or virtually, you can expect to be heard in the context of a non-judgemental and compassionate space. Whether you’re seeking a therapist who can objectively and wholeheartedly listen to your story, teach you skills for managing your thoughts, emotions and behaviors, or simply be a voice of Hope, it would be my honor to walk alongside you. We will work collaboratively on a plan to help you achieve your goals; not just one that matches your objectives, but also your temperament and learning style.
You can schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation to get your questions answered and determine if you’d like to schedule an initial session.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
-
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
